Supervision skills for clinical teachers (Deanery three-day workshop)

This is a 3-day London Deanery workshop. Supervision skills are useful in vocational training, appraisal, mentoring, self-directed learning groups, CPD and in promoting reflective practice. Supervision skills depend on active listening and on the focused use of questions in order to challenge people to think about new ways of dealing with stuck or difficult situations. Clinical supervision means looking after people, not looking over their shoulders. It is about creating time and space to help people reflect on their encounters with patients, colleagues and managers. Further details about the London Deanery's Supervision Skills initiative can be found on the separate Supervision Skills section of this website at:

Day 1: Wednesday 07 September 2011
Day 2: Wednesday 21 September 2011
Day 3: Wednesday 05 October 2011
Delegates must be able to attend the three days listed above.
