Clinicians and Learners in Difficulty: A Multiprofessional Course

Course Description

This multi-professional workshop is designed to support supervisors in some of the challenges they face in working with learners and clinicians experiencing difficulty. The workshop will be interactive with a focus on and will include a mixture of theory and practical exercises and case discussion to enhance mutual learning.

Who the course is for:
All healthcare educators and supervisors who support learners and new practitioners in the workplace setting.

Course outline:

  • Recognising the signs
  • Personality and behaviour
  • Holding difficult conversations and giving effective feedback about performance
  • Case based discussion
  • Fairness, confidentiality and managing allegations
  • Resources available for support.

Duration: One day course

This course is mapped to areas 3, 4, 5 of the Professional Development Framework for Supervisors.
