Developing Paramedic Educators for the London Ambulance Service

Operating in a dynamic, interprofessional and fast-changing environment , the role of paramedics in London is rapidly expanding. To help meet this challenge, an interprofessional team of healthcare educationalists in Multiprofessional Faculty Development (MFD) has recently collaborated with educationalists in the London Ambulance Service on the design of an exciting new programme for paramedic educators – to help them provide educational and professional leadership to paramedics learners.

The course offered paramedic educators from across London the opportunity to focus on their changing roles as paramedic educators and how they can support transformation of the paramedic workforce, it has received a positive evaluation and we are working with the London Ambulance Service to provide additional support and courses for them in the Autumn.
